Donna Carrico, a nurse practitioner at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan has created some much requested imagery for pelvic pain and/or interstitial
cystitis. The imagery is simple but solid and targeted, focused mainly on healing the bladder, relaxing the pelvic-floor muscles, and quieting the nerves specifically involved in IC, and evoking feelings of safety and support. The narrator, Gail Elliott Evo, has a nice, trustworthy voice and the music works well too. Track 1 is 20 minutes of breathing exercises;
Track 2 is a half hour of relaxation that is more traditionally hypnotic. This imagery performed well in a randomized study with women with
interstitial cystitis.
